University hospital for paediatric and adolescent medicine - Medical University of Graz
The university hospital for paediatric and adolescent medicine of the Medical University of Graz is, on the one hand, a specialised hospital and a referral hospital for South and East Austria and, on the other hand, delivers top-class performances in the areas of research and teaching. Here, approximately 700 people are employed for the benefit of the little patients and adolescents. Every year about 11.000 children are treated as in-patients and 100.000 children on an outpatient basis. For this purpose 166 beds (+ 87 beds for accompanying persons), a general outpatient department and also 25 specialised outpatient departments are available. Apart from patient care the staff of the Medical University of Graz train students in the area of paediatric and adolescent medicine by offering lectures and clinical traineeships. Research also has a huge priority within the clinic - paediatric and adolescent medicine is a well established research area of the Medical University of Graz.
